At the top right of this page it says ‘Notes from behind the counter’. I have to drop the bombshell and say that we no longer have a counter. It’s a shock I know.

We liked it well enough but it did rather dominate the front room and as the floor needed replacing it seemed like a good time to dismantle the old post office counter and take a slightly new direction. Here are some images of how the shop looks now. Please feel free to visit and inspect the new floor and paintwork.
